I remember when I first met Camdyn. She was a young middle schooler visiting a ballet class. Her family had recently moved into the area. I had a lovely conversation with her mom. End of story. Or, so I thought.
Years later, I received a message in response to one of my senior photos. It was a mom saying how excited she was to have me photograph her twins when they were seniors. Great! It wasn’t until I met them at their pre-session consultation that I realized who they were! They had been following my work for years and had waited for THIS moment in time. To say I felt honored and amazed is an understatement. They opted for three different sessions throughout the year and I’m so excited to finally be able to share the final images with you all.
In this blog, I’m taking you back in time to our first session in the Fall.
Meet beautiful Camdyn. The young middle schooler I met years ago has grown into a sophisticated, classy and elegant young woman. She carries herself with grace and has a warm and outgoing personality. Her sense of style is impeccable. I love the planning and thought she put into each session. We quickly went from a professional relationship to friends.
Her first session took place on private property in rural southern Almance. We had so much fun greeting cows and exploring the fields and woods.
I encourage my clients to think outside the box when it comes to locations. Sometimes the best spots are the hidden ones, such as this beautiful property. If you are planning senior portraits, think about anyone you may know who owns a beautiful piece of land. Or, maybe you’ve found a spot somewhere that no one knows about. Tailor your locations to you! If you love to go to the library, let’s get some photographs there. If you love a particular coffee shop, document yourself enjoying a cuppa! Remember, your want your photos to showcase not only a pretty face, but personality as well.
