Choosing your photographer is a process. I arrived for my consultation, excited to meet my prospective client. Casandra walked in with her mom, vivacious and outgoing. I quickly discovered this girl had done her research. I wasn’t just a photographer she’d pulled out of the hat. She had been researching photographers for her senior session since was a sophomore! Out of all the photographers she’d viewed, she chose me! I felt (feel) honored.
In Casandra’s Words
“Around my sophomore year I started looking into photographers, and as a beginning photographer I was very selective on who would take my senior portraits. I chose Blink of an Eye Photography because I loved everything about her style, editing process, and how she captures her clients as people. I love how her photos look true and natural and really bring out the features that make you stand out. Every interaction I’ve had with Marie has been extremely rewarding and if I had to do senior year all over again I would no doubt choose her as my photographer!!!”
Casandra chose a beautiful local farm for her senior session. The owner is friends with her family and graciously allowed us to photograph on his beautiful acreage. She couldn’t have ordered a more perfect day if she tried. The light was perfectly golden and the weather was cool, but not cold. This senior class president and yearbook photographer was a blast to photograph! For someone who swears she doesn’t look good in photos, she absolutely stuns in her senior portraits! I loved seeing her surprised face when I’d show her the back of my camera. Her confidence and excitement grew as the session progressed. I love that!!!
Casandra incorporated her own love for photography into her session. I always encourage seniors to find ways to express their passions, interests and hobbies into their photographs. Your senior portraits shouldn’t just be pretty; they should tell a story.
I also adored the hat she chose to wear, along with a lovely scarf. Details, details, details. I can’t emphasize this enough. You wouldn’t believe how much jewelry, hats, scarves, etc. can add to an outfit, creating interest and displaying personality.
