Senior Session: Nicola

Nicola’s senior session took place at Cedar Rock Park. I think we ended up choosing one of the most humid evenings of this summer to shoot her photos. She was a trooper, though, even donning her wool drum major outfit at the very end. I love how she incorporated who she is during her senior session with her flute and her drum major outfit….telling her story. This is something I strongly encourage all my seniors to do. Find props to bring to the shoot that help describe who you are right now…your interests, your hobbies, and your dreams.

I can’t say enough about Nicola. Victoria and I had so much fun with both her and her mom. Nicola is outgoing, friendly, funny, witty and polite. She is grounded and has a beautiful soul. Meeting girls like her makes me smile inside. It reminds me that in this dark world, there are girls who understand how valuable they are…how precious…girls who won’t let others steal the treasure inside.

Besides all the above, she is a lovely girl to photograph and my camera fell in love with her.

I think you will too…
